Hiroki Hoshino
Managing Director
Shihoshoshi and Gyoseishoshi Lawyer

Hiroki Hoshino is the Managing Director of Hoshino Godo Office and has been with the firm since August 2003.
He graduated from the Department of Political Economics at Waseda University in 2000 and obtained both his Shihoshoshi and Gyoseishoshi designations in 2003.
His principle areas of specialization are corporate and real estate legal consulting. Hiroki is also a co-writer of the book "Yoku Wakaru Shin-Shintakuho no Jitsumu", a practical plain language book about Japanese Trust Law.
When not at the office, he can be found enjoying a round of golf or singing karaoke.
Hirokazu Iwakami
Attorney-at-Law, Iwakami Law Office

Hirokazu is an attorney-at-law with Iwakami Law Office, one of the integral alliance partners of Hoshino Godo Office. He is a graduate of the Keio University Faculty of Commerce (1999) and completed his law studies at Keio in 2001.
Hirokazu (and Iwakami Law Office) has been working closely with Hoshino Godo Office since April 2009 and is a specialist in commercial and corporate litigation and civil law cases. He is a "hands-on" player with Hoshino's international legal services team.
Always aware of the ever-changing social expectations of the legal profession, Hirokazu brings passion and sincerity to find practical solutions for all clients, and is a strong advocate of ongoing professional development. Hirokazu has a range of leisure interests, but lists baseball, golf and traveling as his favourites.
Wataru Saito
Shihoshoshi Lawyer

After graduating from the Law Department of Aoyama Gakuin University, Wataru joined the firm as a Shihoshoshi Lawyer in April of 2007.
Corporate legal affairs is his primary field of strength and he has handled numerous corporate mergers and spin-offs, M&A cases and assisting foreign firms incorporate in Japan.
For leisure, Wataru likes traveling and going for drives.
Kimiko Ishii
Shihoshoshi Lawyer

After graduating from the Department of International Economics of Aoyama Gakuin University, Kimiko acquired her Shihoshoshi designation in 2007 before joining Hoshino Godo Office in August 2009.
She has extensive experience with commercial registrations, establishment of branches and incorporation of subsidiaries of foreign companies.
For relaxation, Kimiko enjoys yoga and playing with her cats.
Keita Shimakura
Shihoshoshi Lawyer

Keita is a 2003 graduate of the Department of Political Science and Economics of Waseda University. He acquired his Shihoshoshi designation in 2008 and became a member of the Hoshino team in October 2009.
Keita specializes in company incorporation and has assisted numerous foreign clients ranging from large corporations to individual investors establish business operations in Japan.
Keita enjoys sports with tennis and golf as his favourites.
Mariko Omori
Gyoseishoshi Lawyer

Mariko is a graduate of Seijo University's Department of European Studies. She obtained her Gyoseishoshi designation in 2002 and joined the firm in December 2006.
Her primary areas of specialization are visa and immigration issues.
Mariko lists handcrafts as her favourite hobby and also likes to watch popular American television programs. She has a strong interest in foreign cultures and enjoys studying languages.
Rob Tamamitsu Arimoto

Born in Japan but raised and educated in Canada, Rob attended Graduate School in the Department of Public Administration at the University of Victoria (Canada).
Having over a dozen years of professional experience on both sides of the Pacific he is well versed in the business and cultural nuances of both North American and Japanese societies. He handles much of the liaisoning with our non-Japanese clients as well as English research and translation projects.
Rob is especially interested in ice hockey and prefers cold winter weather. It has also been said that he played classical piano in his youth.
Jing You

Ms. You primarily handles relations with our Chinese clients, including providing consulting services to Chinese businesses setting up in Japan, Japanese businesses expanding into China, and assisting with personal legal issues faced by Chinese residents of Japan.
After completing undergraduate studies in International Relations at the Renmin University of China, she went on to finish graduate studies at the Meiji University Graduate School of Law, before joining the firm full-time in April of 2010.
Ms. You enjoys reading, especially biographies and history, and yoga for relaxation.
